By entering into a purchase with us you have read and accepted our terms and conditions found below.

This Agreement, by which you agree to abide in browsing and accessing information from my website www.stonehensceramics.co.uk (the site) governs the terms on which you, (the User) are granted access to the site by Stone Hens Ceramics, Gill Oakley. Please read Terms and Conditions carefully before ordering any of the "products" listed on the Site.

The Site contains propriety notices and copyright information, the terms of which the User agrees to observe and follow.

The purchase of products from "Stone Hens Ceramics" or "Gill Oakley" or "me" , "I", "we", or "us" is governed by these terms and conditions. By ordering any " Products" by use of the Site, you, "You" the "Purchaser" or the "Buyer" agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

These prices are "free delivery" unless otherwise stated.
Prices are liable to change at any time, but changes will not affect confirmed orders.

The Site contains many Products and prices, and despite our best efforts some Products on the site may be incorrectly priced.
We are under no obligation to supply a Product to you at an incorrect price.

Payment methods acceptable are by Paypal and cheques and in pounds Sterling. Cheques are to be made payable to Gill Oakley. Write your name and address clearly on the reverse side of the cheque. Cheque orders will not be processed until cheque has cleared.

I undertake to try and deliver a good customer service and Products will be delivered as soon as it is possible after payment. In rare circumstances there may be delays which are out of my control including illness, accident, electrical failure, extreme temperatures of frost and ice where clay is frozen solid, fire, theft or death. Unlikely, but worth a mention.

By placing an order through the Site you warrant that:

  • You are legally capable of entering into binding contracts You are a resident of one of the Serviced Countries, see later.
  • You are accessing the Site from that country.

Orders will be acknowledged by email.

Where more than one Product has been ordered, it is preferable to send all Products ordered together, but if this is not possible then they will be sent as available. You will be notified by email or telephone of said delays.

Availability and Delivery

Risk and title

Products will be at your risk from the time of delivery.Ownership of the Products passes to you on delivery as long as full payment has been received.

Claims for breakages or other damage must be made to Stone Hens Ceramics in writing or by email immediately or within 3 days of re kept.

Please advise us of any other order issues within 28 days of despatch. We are unfortunately unable to offer exchanges on orders if we have not been notified within this period.

Products

All items are subject to availability. You will be informed as soon as reasonably possible if the goods you have ordered are not available.

Legal Statement. Products are entirely hand made and so will be similar in style to each other but not exactly the same. Different firings may produce slight changes in glaze colouring. This is all part of the hand made process. I shall endeavour to make each Product as close to the Product photograph on Stone Hens Ceramics website as possible.

If a Product is out of stock you will be emailed with the option to cancel your order or wait until the Product becomes available.
You may cancel your order within 7 days of delivery if you are contracting as a consumer, in accordance with the Distance Selling Regulations.

You may cancel for any reason provided:

  • You or the recipient notifies us of your cancellation in writing / email to the address on Stone Hens Ceramics Contact page within 7 working days of delivery.
  • The goods remain unused and and component parts are unopened.
  • You or the recipient retain and take reasonable care of the goods until returned.
  • You return well packaged item(s) to Stone Hens Ceramics address on Contact page.

You have a legal obligation to take reasonable care of the Product(s) while in your possession.
If you fail to comply with this obligation we may have a right of action against you for compensation.

Please be aware you will be responsible for any postage/carrier costs incurred for sending goods back to Stone Hens Ceramics. We recommend that items being returned be sent via insured, trackable delivery for your protection. A refund can only be provided for items received by us in good order. On receipt of the goods a refund or exchange will be given as is appropriate. This does not affect your statutory rights.

All contracts are conducted in English.

This website, any content contained herein and any contract brought into being as a result of usage of this website shall be governed by and construed with the laws of England and Wales . The parties to any such contract agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Delivery Information & Returns

Delivery times

We aim to send all orders out within 7 working days of receipt. However at busy times it can take us a little bit longer. See Terms and Conditions. You can call us on 07821 706366 to check the status of your order or drop us an email to stonehensceramics@gmail.com

Delivery method

Orders under £20 are sent by first class delivery with the Royal Mail and should reach you in 1-3 days after posting. All orders over £25 are sent by “Recorded Delivery” with the Royal Mail and should take 1-3 days to reach you once sent.Orders for Overseas under £25 in value will be sent by the most appropriate method taking weight into account including Airmail. Overseas orders over £25 are sent by “International Signed for” with the Royal Mail and should take 3-5 days for Europe and 5-7 days for the rest of the world once sent. Recorded and signed for orders will require a signature. Tracking numbers available upon request. If you require ‘next day’ delivery this is generally not possible.

Orders Lost in Transit

Orders sent via Royal Mail recorded delivery are subject to Royal Mail terms. Parcels are not considered lost / missing by the Royal Mail until 15 working days after the sending date. We are therefore unable to resend or refund for orders lost in transit until 15 working days after the order sending date. Tracking information is available upon request.

Shipping costs

Free shipping is offered on all UK orders unless otherwise stated. Overseas orders are charged at the most appropriate rate available at that time with Royal Mail.

Returns policy

We hope that you are happy with your purchase, however if you are not please return it to us within 30 days and we will be happy to exchange or refund your purchase. We cannot be responsible for returned goods being lost on their way to us. If returning a product to us please retain proof of posting.
