For me, the Spring season is where the year really begins, so rather apt that this is my first blog of 2015!

The run up to Christmas is a hectic and exciting time for makers, orders to fulfil and rushing here, there and everywhere with craft events. I was very pleased to be invited to put work into two Christmas Shows, one here in Cardiff at Craft in the Bay and another in London, at Foss Fine Art.

Following these events, I'm now going to hold a workshop at Craft in the Bay, making Buttons, Brooches and Pendants in early summer, and I supplied Foss Fine Art with an another order, this time for Valentines Day.

Now is the time when the year ahead starts to take shape, applying for shows for as far away as September, October and November, but currently I'm really looking forward to Wonderwool at the end of April, it's a fantastic show with so many talented people, all doing something creative with wool and fibres, the atmosphere is hard to top, and all set in glorious Welsh countryside.

It's the shows 10th anniversary this year too! My buttons are popular with hand knitters looking for something unique and hand made to finish their garment. (Find me on Stall R 7).

I'm also pleased to be going back to Bristol Wool Fair in September, a show that started last year and is going to grow and grow!

Right, back to it! I'm just putting some finishing touches to my new Porcelain Brooches for Mothers Day!
Wishing you all a creative spring!
