Happy St David's Day!

March 1st in Wales is St David's Day, Dydd Gwyl Dewi in Welsh.

A day in which the nation celebrates our patron Saint and culture; many school children wear national dress and take part in concerts, there are parades in towns and cities, leeks and daffodils are pinned proudly to chests and of course, there's lots of singing!

March also means that Winter is officially over (despite the fact that right now there's a gale force wind blowing rain, hail and garden chairs across the lawn) and that Spring has sprung, my favourite time of year!

With that in mind I am having a stall at Cardiff RHS Show in April, and I'm really looking forward to it!

Hot on its heels will be Wonderwool Wales, a wonderful event held at the Royal Welsh Show Ground in Builth Wells, I'm losing count as to how many I've done now, 7 or 8 I think! So, a busy time ahead and a few new products in the pipeline!

(Details for these shows are on the post it notes on the Home page) As well as making, I am also running workshops in my home, ideally just for two people at a time. Relaxed and informal, they require no previous experience and the aim is to enjoy creating surface design onto porcelain using various techniques. If this is something that interests you, all of the details can be found here on the website under Workshops which you will find under Products.

Well, they say leave the best til last, so here it is....I am really pleased to tell you that my little business is in the April edition (available now) of House and Garden magazine! The feature is called House of Design, and my ceramics and workshops are mentioned along with a photo of my vintage lace, porcelain Heart. I am one of 50 designers featured and this issue coincides with London Design Week. All very exciting!

I am off to the kitchen now to whip cream for my strawberry sponge cake; two ladies are on their way over for a workshop this afternoon and I do like to look after them well !
