I am pleased to announce a new stockist of Stone Hens Ceramics ceramic buttons, Hanks Yarn Shop in Anglesey, (see stockist page for address).

A lovely shop stocking beautiful yarn and from Friday 5th of July, my buttons too!

Last week, I had a very good meeting with FelinFach, a lovely company who specialise in making beautiful products from Welsh textiles. I designed buttons for them exclusively last year, and am thrilled to be designing for them again, as well as supplying a selection of stoneware and porcelain  buttons from my present range. All very exciting!

I am looking forward to setting up my stall over the next two weekends, firstly at Cowbridge Comprehensive School, on Saturday, July 6th at their Summer Fair and then the next weekend at The Kymin, Penarth on Sunday, July 14th for the Town Treasure Hunt and Family Fun Day as part of Penarth Festival, and also, in aid of Asthma UK.

And finally, I've never been one for Pimms, but I held a little family party at the weekend with a Wimbledon theme. There was a ladder in the garden with an Umpire sign on, tennis racquets and towels and umpteen tennis balls, home made signs to Centre Court, No. 1 Court etc, a few cucumber sandwiches (just for effect), and welcoming jugs of Pimms! I played with the recipie and this was my favourite!

1 large measure of Pimms, 1 lg measure of sparkling wine, 2 lg measures of lemonade, a sprig of bruised Mint, a few slices of Cucumber, a few sliced and crushed strawberries, a few slices of Orange, and a squeeze of fresh Orange. Lots of ice and a good stir!!! Summer in a jug!
